I figure the best way would be to build an app to help with practice of JAVA /SQL
Are there any how too's out there in building a web app via eclipse.

The best you can do is start learning the basics of JAVA and after a while, when you know how to create variables, loop, functions, classes... then jump to learn about the basics on databases, and after that try to accomplish any small program that could interest you... Another option would be getting a book and starting to read the examples, exercises...

Yes, I have check those and been in SW for the last 2yrs read Head First Java /SQL
but at my job currently iam not using these tools framworks so how can i keep my skills up tell i find a job that involves Java,J2ee,SQL
