Solution 1

There is no difference between Webserver and IIS. Web server is a general term where as IIS is a web server that has been created by Microsoft.

Solution 3

WebDev.WebServer.exe is Asp.Net Development server where as IIS is Microsoft's Commercial Web Server. You need Admin rights to use and host any Asp.net Web page on IIS server where as WebDev.WebServer.exe doesn't require any Admin rights. WebDev.WebServer.exe is purely used for development purpose that comes default with .net framework where as IIS is a part of Operating System.
