Side by side configuration is incorrect

I have a C++ project, built successful on VC++6.0 (by other people). I tryed to port it to VC++ 2005. The compiler reported 0 error, but cant run the .exe file.

"The application hasThe application has failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"

I searched on internet, it seems many people have same problem with me. I tryed to follow some suggestion (down load and re-install VC++2005 Redistributable Package...) but still cannot fix this problem.

If you can, please help me.
