See more: C# ASP.NET
Hi,

I am dealing with a project in which user has to customize his own part. Can any one give me a brief idea about implementing user preferences in ASP.NET. Thanks in advance

you can try storing preferences in database, this is probably the simplest way out.

Or try using Session, cookie,profile

ASP.Net has everything for you , if you don't want to use DB

Solution 1

You have two choices, one is to save the preferences using cookies on the client side, or in a database on the server side where user configuration options can be persisted.

Solution 2

You can use ASP.NET profile personalization - here, refer this: MSDN Magazine: Personalization and User Profiles in ASP.NET 2.0[^]

Another way to handle it: User Preference using Application Settings[^]
