I would like to join the contest, but I don't want my idea/app description to be "borrowed." Can I be assured that nobody else (besides the project administrators) will see it? IOW, I don't want the world at large/other developers to see it.

If you don't want the community to see the article, then how can the community vote for your article? The whole point to Code Project is the SHARING of ideas and concepts. If you have something proprietary that can't be shared with the community, then it probably isn't right for Code Project. A lot of the articles here at CP result from issues people have solved in the day to day work, but in order to share with the community, they use the problem scenario as a basis of the article without divulging anything proprietary. Cheers.
