Download it, compile it, run it. Since you already asked in the article section why are you posting this here? What kind of help is it that you are looking for?

Solution 1

You have already asked this at the article itself, and then gave it half an hour before deciding you wouldn't get a replay and asking here.
So, two things:

1) The author is in China, so his working hours are unlikely to be the same as yours. Have a little patience. Give the author a chance to respond.
2) Try being more specific in your request to the author - explain the problem you are having. "I want to run it" is not a good question - it gives nobody any clue as to what your problem might be.

And in future, it might be worth your looking a little more closely at the articles you try to use if you aren't very proficient: That one is nine years old, and the author has not responded since 2003 (though he does still log in, there is no guarantee that his email has not changed in that time). Support on a nine-year-old article may not be as comprehensive as you might wish...

Solution 2

I guess you are searching for a simple interpreter example but unfortunately I have to say you found a poor one. The article looks terrible to me and the project contains dozens of files. Normally the answer to your question should be in the article. Before starting to learn anything about basic and maybe interpreters you should learn how to use google. By typing in the magic keywords "simple basic interpreter" I found this as a 3rd result, its a very small interpreter that has some really good reviews, check it out if you are interested about interpreters: http://www.programmersheaven.com/download/16060/download.aspx[^]
You should always look for small examples or ones that have really good accompanying article as explanation. The example I linked has no attached help but the interpreter source is extremely small and easy to understand. If you want to learn how to put together interpreters or compilers you will find materials on the subject with google, search and check out a lot of them and pick one that suits your level of knowledge the best.
