What to use instead of Crystal Reports?

I'm having a tough time with Crystal Reports.

I used it internally previously (increasing my compiling time).
Nowadays, i'm using it externally and only calling the reports at run-time.

I don't get the exact print sometimes or the report loads slowly or it miscalculates even if the formula is correct.

Can I preview the report in Windows Forms and then print it in a pre-formatted paper? How?

if you are generating report directly from datagridview then you may skip the step and directly print the datagridview.

A best alternative is SSRS .

get start today ..its provide more functionality and flexibilty .

The above link lead to the SSRS but for Visual Web Developer Express 2008, but i want the solution for VB.NET Professional Edition (VS 2008).
