Solution 1

Not really, it depends too much on your skill set, and requirements - look at the Addison Wesley or Wrox range. Microsoft Press also do some very good ones.
 
Avoid anything with multiple exclamation marks or "in xx days" ot "for dummies" in the title and you should be fine - just be sure to do all the exercises: it is the best way to get the knowledge imprinted! Laugh | :laugh:
