an unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server

"An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. the status code returned from the server was 0"
The above error occurred while i clicked the button, like alert message and it will automatically closed but there is know changes in my result.

Can any one tell me, what may be the problem, and what i wants to do, to rectify it.

This issue sometimes occurs when you have a control registered as an AsyncPostbackTrigger in multiple update panels.
