Drawing on GestureOverlayView

Hello all, hope someone can help me. I have a gesture listener application running to recognize gestures when entered on that device (device A). There is a bluetooth link to device B where I can also enter gestures which device A receives processes and returns the character entered to device B. This is all working well but I want to render the character I am drawing on device B as it is being drawn, on device A. I have tried adding a child view to the GestureOverlayView but this has not worked. Any ideas???
