I have just finished my book of deitel java and i think i have grab some knowledge. Dont get discouraged, i am a programmer on PHP MySQL and am pretty good. But, am tired of web browser app. am interested in deploying stand alone app to my client. Please i need to get in business, though i have tried so project with my basic and its pretty interesting. But, i still doubt my knowledge on java. Please i need someone that can put me through on what next!!!! Thanks

Experience, experience, experience!
You should start writing Java applications if you really want to improve your skills.
That said you may search for the best Java books available[^].

Ok, you should help, as a beginner, what project do you think i should start working. You can assign a project to do. I need something that can put me on such much challenges and research. after then we should know what next!

I want an address book.

- Mainwindow should show table with all Entries.
- button "add", "delete", "export" and "import" (both as *.CVS)

- double click in table opens the contact in a dialog.
- fields of that dialog are disabled - until I click a button "edit". "save" button needs confirm.
