Hi,
 
Is there a way on how to convert an .xlsx excel file into .xls file format using vb.2005 without having to use a 3rd party software?
 
Please teach me how?

It get's the file and change the extension to xls Smile | :)
 

A better solution is to check out ExcelPlusPlus here[^].
Its opensource Smile | :)

Hi VitorHugo, I'm using windows XP in my PC and Office 2003 for my xls reference. Will I need to download 2007 PIA for me to copy/saveas the xlsx file to xls format? will it not do conflication in the 2003 PIA which is in my computer and is being use by my program ?

No Alan as for the solution provided, it only changes the file extension... Dont install it.
