how to close parent window from child window using javascript in firefox of all browser.I try <window.close();> its works fine in IE and CHROME but not work in mozila firefox.any one help me.

not possible to change every machine firefox about.config settings.

Firefox behaves with window.close() in a stinky way.. mean you will not be able to use this in firefox except some of the olddddddddddddddd versions only... only solution while using firefox is to empty the parent window.i.e. about:blank. as posted by Zafar in the Solution 1.
