Back up of sql server??? All of it? Really? Not just a concrete list of databases?

Have a look at this: Backing up an SQL Database in C#[^] - it is in C#, but the code should be easily translated (see here: http://www.developerfusion.com/tools/convert/csharp-to-vb/[^]) and it explains the pitfalls as you go though the process.

Sorry I had to downvote your answer, but you have disregarded an important aspect of the question: from asp.net. That code snippet and the article is good, but in asp.net there are several things to be considered besides the ones in the article:
- Who will be the user running that code: the authenticated one, the application pool user, a third one? How to change user context or spawn a process?
- How to grant the necessary privileges to that user without affecting the security of the server?
- How long it will take compared with the asp.net execution timeout?
- How to get detailed feedback, eventually how to react?
