Hi Friends,

I have Created a Web Application in c#...its working well.

finally I have hosted in my local server using IIS.

so this application will be accessed by our company using the IP address as

but we dont want to type the IP address we need to type some alphabets in the browsers(We mean like URL) or like this http:\\

Please help me, how to make a the way, we are using IIS 7 and windows server 2008.

Please help THANKS.

You need to get your URL name registered on the internet with a public IP address. Addresses starting 10. are for internal use only. There are many companies in each country who will do this for you; Google should find them.

Solution 1

Given the ip address, I am assuming its an internally hosted website.

Assuming all your clients are windows PC, a hack would be to include the text 
in the HOSTS file (location depends on OS). This will redirect all the IP requests to the listed website.

Alternatively, Create a mapping in your DNS server to map to IP
