This is not a well formulated question. Please improve it, and be much more concrete. In general this has nothing to do with c# it is an operating system level question. You can make a file unreadable to some users, but "unfindable" is much likely not to achieve.

Not bad, but it has actually no effect. It is just a simple setting to change in the explorer, and you see all "hidden" files.

Solution 2

There is no easy way to trully hide files from users. They are all generally discoverable especially by administrator typre accounts.

One method on NTFS file systems is to use alternative streams.
