Would it be possible to replace the SSE instruction set with SSE2? I know there are faster processors and boards out there. Intel decided not to implement the support crippling the processor in favor of the newer slower p4. The board is very old but will easily run win 7. I would like to run win 8 on it. I can supply the microcode if anyone is willing to try. I don't know how to code. I am just learning hardware so far. I can mod the bios just not the microcode. If not replace SSE with SSE2 then would it be possible to add it?
