Execute code after Response headers declared

My requirement is to prompt 'Download Successful?' message after user downloads excel files.I am using generic handler to write bytes[excel file content] to response headers.
 
Does (new Page()).ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl("","") this works for me? and What actually this code snippet is for..?
 

any suggestion is appreciated.
