Which payment gateway?
Try to look at the WooCommerce WP Plugin[^] - it supports:
- PayPal Pro
- Google Checkout
- 2Checkout.com
- Inspire Commerce
- Authorize.net

i created the website using wp-ecommerce plugin and artisteer theme. is it accept woocommerce plugin?

wp-ecommerce, woocommerce are only two from dozens of e-Commerce / e-shop WordPress plugins.
