Hello everyone, I am a novice to web services and wcf so, need clarity in ussage of these services. If we want to develop an application with services then how can we decide whether to use wcf or web services. What factors we need to consider. Please suggest me.

Along with these you will have to consider the interoperability with existing client applications(if any) before making a choice.

Solution 2

1)Web Services are for old application, but they are old technolgy;
2)WCF is the future, they are very configurable and can be hosted in IIS or into Windows services;
Can be used not only for web communications but also for inter-application communication.

I recomand you to use WCF!
