Assign it to a asp.net hidden field and access it from server side... Or use ajax call to post the value to the server

Won't it be similar to the HTML file upload component ??

Solution 1

As already suggested by aspnet_regiis, you have multiple ways to do it. Standard or most commonly used way is via traditional Ajax, i.e. XMLHttpRequest.

Solution 2

You can base64 encode the byte array in JavaScript to a base64 string and then pass the base64 string to asp.net. In asp.net you can decode the base64 string to a byte array.
