first I read data from an excel file with 1G size and insert it's data in sql database,after that when I fill myDataAdapter to gat data from database for reporting I get out of memory exception.but after reading and inserting data ,if I stop the application and then start it to fill myDataAdapter there is no I have to stop application after reading and inserting from excel ,then fill DataAdapter after start apllication again to not get out of memory erro .(I use gc.collect after inserting to get unused memory)please help me!!!

Solution 1

Free your "Excel" objects before reading from the database.

Try running on a 64bit machine (compiling to ANY CPU), 32bit has a working memory limit of around 2Gb.
