add new coordinate to route without refreshing the map

Hi there,
I'm using google map api v3 directions services to display a route and the coordinates are loaded from database.Is it possible to add a new coordinate (destination ) and draw the new path without relaoding the map?

Not sure but I don't think so. If you change the route, then you will need to update the info from google to redraw.
The only way I could see is that you manage to make a local copy and redraw it on your own without call the google API, if it is worth to do it... that's another point.
