I have designed an enquiry form with validation controls on a web user control so that I could use the same control on multiple asp.net pages.

My requirement is to place this control at the bottom of ASP.NET page within ajax update panel so that the whole page need not get refreshed. My requirement is met when no validation control is triggered i.e. the update panel is refreshed accordingly when the web user control form is filled as per the field requirements.

The issue what I am facing is when the validation control is triggered i.e. when the field requirements are not met, the validation controls show the error messages but the page gets scrolled to top of the page. One has to scroll down again to bottom of the page and see the error messages.

Please advise how to stop the page getting scrolled back to top of the page when validation controls are displaying the error message.
