I want to develop a project in Java to detect copy paste forgery.
 
"Exposing Postprocessed Copy–Paste Forgeries Through Transform-Invariant Features".
 
In this paper they proposed a technique. I want to do that same. But I puzzled how to start as I am new to image processing in java. Please help me

Ok Simple. I want to detect an image in java if it is tampered or not

Did you bother to read my answer? You need to go and do some research for yourself on image manipulation/detection etc.
