Asp.net url rewritting not working on production server for .xml file extension

Hello,

I am generating dynamic sitemap for my website. For that I am using url rewriting by using Global.asax file. But I found that when I am trying to redirect www.domain.com/sitemap.xml to www.domain.com/sitemap.aspx its not working on production server but working on development machine. Other all rewritten url working on production and development server. For trouble shooting I had checked by removing .xml extension and found working, that means url rewriting fail for xml file extension. Please help me.

Also I found that same problem with images having url rewritten.
