how to use jquery/javascript in child page while implementing master page for child page in asp.net

I think you can directly use the Javascript functions written in the Child Page in the Master Page.
Note: if the child page doesn't contains the methods, which are intended to be invoked in master page, then invoking those method will throw exceptions.
