Hi
Just a simple one- when i navigate using a webbrowser control, the quality of the websites is bad because it shows an old version.

I have posted a preview of 2 images: one of www.google.com with Google Chrome, and one with a webbrowser control here: http://www.4shared.com/download/_582O4ew/googles.jpg?tsid=20130405-150435-4681b301[^]

Please tell me why you think the webbrowser control shows old sites!
(Is it because google chrome makes google look better for popularity?)
Thanks

:)

It shows the site you've navigated to, but it could be an older version of its page, the one you loaded before. Try to clear IE cache (address to IE help). "Old site" does not mean "bad quality", it means "old", nothing else. :-)

I don't get that difference - mine looks the same in the web browser and chrome (except the webbrowser version has "install Chrome" options)

Check your URL. You can expect it to look somewhat different (the WebBrowser control uses whatever version of IE you have installed, but will use IE7 Standards mode by default) as it isn't Chrome.

The webbrowser control will default to using IE7 rendering if you have a newer version installed. Changing this behavior requires modifying the registry.

see:Make the WebBrowser Control give you the installed IE version rendering
