It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

i'm getting this error in vb.net web application, how to solve this?

Did you bother reading the error message? "caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS", configure the virtual directory as an application and see what happens.
