Playing it is pretty easy: MSDN: Embedding the Windows Media Player Control in a Visual Basic .NET Solution[^]
 
But I wouldn't store videos in SQL: they tend to be large and SQL server does have limits on storage space which you can exceed very quickly with videos. In addition it uses serious amounts of server bandwidth to return the data to your application. Instead, I would store the actual video as a disk file, and store the file location in SQL.
