Windows store app using SVG in XAML, possibel?

Hello!

I'm working on one of my first apps for windows store and are over all quite new with programming(1 year of experience). Right now I want to make a small app with the ability to paint in. Something in the style of the old windows paint, but more simple. I have been looking at SVG and I want to use SVG in my app, and heres my question.

Is it possible to use SVG in XAML in Windows Store Apps? If possible, then how? Else if not possible, how do you recommend me to continue?

Excuse my bad English and thanks for you're time!
