See more: C# TSQL
I would like to dynamically display images in Fastreport. The images reside on a server directory as well as the SQL instance I am using.

I have the following Table Structure :

Create Table TestingTable
ID int identity(1,1),
Reader nvarchar(50),
PhotoPath	nvarchar(max)
insert into TestingTable (ID, Reader, PhotoPath) values (2421440, 'Mohau', '\\server\jt4721_E_2013_06_19_110347.jpg')

I am aware that fastReport makes use of binary Images or rather images that are physically stored in a database table rather than the images' path. I don't want to store the images in my C# project as embedded resources as there are over a million photos residing on the server. I would like to reference them from where they reside and display them in my report.

I have tried to cast the image path to a datatype Image in the database which result in a string of binary character of which when linked to an image place holder in the fastreport show a RED [X] indicating that the image was not found.

I have also tried to import the images in the database using their individual paths but often get an operating system error 5.(Access Denied) which constitutes that I do not have privileges on the Bulkadmin role on the SQL instance. (I would do this for each time a query or a report is generated, which would result in overhead on the processing power)

I am looking for a less complex way to achieve this and any Feedback would be most appreciated.

Thank You

Probably not what you want to hear but this link will steer you in the more ballyhooed direction:
