Hi ,

I am creating a lockscreen functionality in my window 8 app where I have to provide the images for the lockscreen from an rss feed. Although I am getting the url of the images which I have to make as lockscreen image.

So my question is there a way to make the images as lockscreen without downloading them and storing into a local storage before providin them as an lockscreen image.

Your valuable suggestions are welcome.

I don't think it's possible. In order to show the image you will have to download it, may not in the locale storage but at least in phone memory.

Although it is not entirely clear, it sounds like you want to leave the image "on the internet" and simply provide a url instead of having the image physically on the phone. However, even providing a url it will be downloaded. There is no way around that. It has to get downloaded to be able to show it.
