I developed a c# pos project that use web cam as barcode scanner. I want the web cam to be used only by my application and not detectable by other webcam based application. can I do this only with programming (not from hardware approach) Please advice me.

Right question. It sounds like quite like a violation of basic customer's rights.

I don't want to use this hardware by other program that initially detect webcamera such as VZO. And actually the webcam is being the part of my POS system. maybe integrated into some hardware. (not accessable by user from other point of view).

If this is a post system, it won't have "other programs". The problem looks artificial to me. And this is not how OS works with hardware...
