ASP.Net Menu Control' submenu disappear when hovering over scroll arrow

My ASP.Net (4.0) Menu Control contains too many submenu items to be displayed at once. There is a default arrow which appears below a partial submenu list. I expected to be able to hover over it or click on it and see the rest of the submenu items. However when I hover on that arrow - all the submenu items disappear.

Is this a known Microsoft bug? And if so, is there a way to use javascript or css to fix that issue?
