Hi friends!

With VSTO apps frequently needed for versions of Office 2007-2013, I have two versions of VS, i.e. 2010 & 2013 on my system. With my very first experience, I have noted that the Wix templates do appear in the 2013 version but not in 2010.

Any suggestion how to enable and make it available for both versions?

Thanx in advance.

Have you checked to see if WiX is compatible with VS 2010?

I don't know why. I use WiX successfully even with VS 2008, as well as 2010.

Thanx for your feedback Sergey!
However is it the latest version?
As I haven't found out about it's compatibilty with 2010 but not even about it's incompatibilty eventhough have been Googling.

You just install the toolset and then try to use it with Visual Studio. It is actually very well integrated with MSBuild standard and with VS. Compared to WiX, the Setup project template are just no legitimate, they do not use MSBuild project structure. With WiX, you can use all standard MSBuild project properties in a standard way, feed them from VS in a standard way, add you own tasks, and more.
