Hi Somehow got GE Cimplicity 8.2 demo version. Now I started learning it....

How to read a Omron PLC tag to Cimplicity. I have Omron PLC & HMI experience, where PLC register address i will assign on the HMI bargraph object suppose. so based on PLC register's value bargraph will show the display.

How to achieve the same in Cimplicity screen and run to see the display of bargraph

Also any material/sample code helpful for learning basics highly appreciated.

Solution 1

Unfortunately this is something you are going to have to use a different forum for. Something like PLC.net, this site is more oriented to the programming side than PLC's and hardware.

I'm guessing you have to set up a connection to the Omron PLC, then set up the tag in the tag database. Then you can use it on a display, but the Cimplicity manual should be of more help.

Thats right...Even i have seen few people on this forum talking about CIMPLICITY.
I thought might be knowledgeble

I have a lot of experience with FactoryView/RSView and Siemens, but not a lot with Cimplicity, I really haven't seen many topics on it.
