Capturing Data from Parallel Port

Hello All -

I am looking to capture ascii data from a parallel port output from a machine - this device is not a pc - but it is collecting datat & printing a table of numbers to an epson lx300+ printer -

Can anyone help me devise a solution to this problem ?

What's the problem?
Connecting the machine to your PC so you can grab the data?
Writing the code for the machine?
Or understanding the lx300 data?
