Compatibility Issue after creating MFC application setup with installshield 5.0

Hi,

we have application created in MFC. we are creating the setup using install-shield 5.0. till now Setup was working fine on windows xp and windows 7 with setting run as administrator.

But, from last week setup is having some compatibility issue and program gets crash while opening the application.

In some PCs application working without any compatibility setting.
In some PCs it is working with setting "Run this program in Compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3" and "Run this Program as administrator"
While in some PCs it is working with setting "Run this program in Compatibility mode for Window Vista" and "Run this Program as administrator"

Please Suggest any appropriate Solution for this.

you need to dig deeper in the "dll hell". What dlls are included? (Are they working in other Apps)

Another problem can be that the setup builder is outdated as I googled:

i would try:

1. manually install to check that you arent in "dll hell"
2. try an actaul installer
