Learning Python programming language in a more exploration based manner

Hello there.

I am a CS student and I have quite a lot of background on programming. I know C/C++ pretty well and I wish to learn Python.

I downloaded Documentation files from the Python website, though I did learn a lot, I wish to expand quickly and the tutorial has less examples and does not cover the breadth of application for a particular concept.

So basically I need a book, a PDF or a link to a tutorial which gives enough examples to follow quickly. Exercises and problems to each topic would really help.

I hope I have been clear enough.
