Which script is invoked when svn merge command is used?

When user tries to merge the branch with the trunk, which script is run?

Is there any way to replace that script by some other script? please guide me.

As far as I am aware, svn does not use scripts. You should check the documentation to see what options are available on the merge command.

We have hook scripts for commit. Similarly, can I add conditions for merging in the pre-commit hook or something like that?

Sorry, I have never used that feature. As I said, you need to check the documentation.
