Microsoft powerpoint 2010 Add in - populate chart with database values

Hi,

I need to create and later update charts in powerpoint slide, on clicking a button from task pane in powerpoint presentation. I was able to create custom ribbons and task panes and interact with slides in the presentation. I was unable to find the ways to populate a chart with data obtained from database...

Please help me create a chart with values updating from database.
