Mysql re-installation in windows server R2

I am trying to Re-instal mysql worbench after uninstalling the old one I have forgotten the password for old one hence I thought i would re-install the mysql workbench once again However I am getting a error message

mysql-server-5.5-winx64-gpl:100 - Unable to update security settings. Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Also do let me know what are the other tcp/ip ports supported apart from 3306

It seems that workbench try to access the databases, but password and/or user not fit...
