Read Continuous Response from HTTP POST request

Am having a Location Service which requires a http post message as request. So the server will send the response in a time interval (say every 30 sec) as a xml string. So which method should i use to get it done. In serial communication we have option like onDatareceived event and process the data. i tried it with webclient for one request it would work but for continuous response which method should i use.
