If your web application was published to the web server and you have a internet domain associated with it you should access it from anywhere by using an internet browser. You need to know only the URL of your application (like www.yourdomain.ro\...).

You have to ask your system admin to make and/or let your site to be accessible from exterior (not only from your LAN). So you should have a valid host name and port associated with your web application in your IIS and also your system admin should make some settings in your web server management tools that will allow your site to be accessible from outside your company (like rights and firewall settings).

I have used it in some projects, some years ago (last time in 2007), but only for Windows Forms applications.
