Im REALLY a beginner to Qt, PostgreSQL and C++

I would like some help in getting this to work.
I've gone through Qt-Digia tutorials on this but the sample code returns "database not found/not connected"

I have some "old-school" experience with Fortran, APL, dBase IV, MS-Access, And Visual Basic, But I can't get this link to work. I can run the Qt IDE using their built-in SQLite, and I can work directly with PSQL pgAdminIII and other similar utilities BUT I just can't get Qt to connect!

I'd appreciate anyone's help in walking me through this in incremental baby-steps so that I can get on to the real development.

Thanks.

You could start by showing us the code that does not work.
