stop start video by button next

I am working on project in which I have one main form and other forms are inherited from that main form. Now on other forms i have a video on start mode , I want to stop it by clicking on button next which is on main form. I am using videolan vlc plugin v2.
I using the following code but it not working

axVLC.playlist.stop();

but its not working. what can I do now
