Is VS2010 compatible with TFS 2012

Hi,

I have VS 2010 installed in all the developer's machine and folks are using the same for long time. We weren't using any source control yet. Now TFS 2012 is installed in the server.
My question is simple, Will I be able to check in to TFS 2012 from VS 2010 ?

Please let me know if this is possible.

Solution 1

Yes it is compatible. From MS Visual Studio 2010 we can map to TFS 2012 server. Only thing which I have to do is, for the first time to Create the TFS Root Path I need to rely on VS2012 TFS Client. After doing that I am able to get the project from TFS Server using VS 2010
