Hey guys,

I hope I don't annoy too much with what I ask, but I simply wanna know how to get started with Mono. I'll break down what I know and my goals:

1) I want to make apps using C# for all the three major platforms. For example, I build for Windows Phone and I want it to also run on Android and iOS.

2) I found out about Mono and downloaded it. However, when I read the "What is Mono?" on their page, they have mentioned Linux and nothing else. On the main page, they mention 3 different downloads - Mono, Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android. All of this has really confused me.

So the question really is - what am I supposed to do?

/* Please forgive any ignorance from my side - it's unintentional. While I am a computer science graduate, I did end up being forced out of practical stuff for about 2 years due to personal circumstances and boy oh boy have things changed fast - and it only gets worse, heh. */

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the link. It's quite a bit of a read so I am still going through it, but so far it doesn't seem to help me with the problem that I'm having regarding these 3 separate versions of Mono I can download. Probably because the article is very old.
