Recv and send explanation?

Im trying to set up a winsock server and client connection.
I already got the connecting working,
but can anybody give an easy explanatoin about the recv and send function.

update:I found those already but i didnt get them,
could you use them in a simple example

If you saw those pages already, you also saw the example code presented to you there. What possible reason could there be for you to need special example code written just for you?

Is Google broken? You may find many many examples of these functions just Googling for.
